Councillor Graham Whitham
Councillor for Davyhulme West
Councillor Graham Whitham was elected to represent Davyhulme West ward in May 2018. Graham is the first Labour candidate to be elected in the ward since 1998 and won with a majority of over 800 votes.
In his professional life Graham worked for many years as a senior policy advisor at Save the Children, and then at Oxfam. He is the founder and co-director of Greater Manchester Poverty Action, which he established to further policy conversations about how we tackle poverty across the city region and to promote greater collaboration and joint working across VCSE, public and private sectors.
Graham is passionate about environmental issues and working to ensure the economy of Trafford is more inclusive so that it acts to reduce inequality across the borough.
He currently sits on the Children and Young People’s Scrutiny Committee and the Employment Committee.
