Joanne lives in Urmston and was first elected to represent the ward in 2011.

Since being elected on to the Council Joanne has been involved in several local health campaigns and has chaired the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

Joanne is currently the Executive Member for Adult Social Care and has set 3 clear objectives over the next year:

• Driving up and improving quality across homecare and nursing homes.
• Working with communities to reduce loneliness and social isolation.
• Making Trafford a Dementia Friendly borough.

Joanne has for the past 20 years worked in the field of drugs and alcohol and now currently manages a Mental Health Crisis service. She is passionate about ensuring people have access to high quality, local health services and that the patient voice is heard.

Joanne is a member of Unison and Community Trade Unions.
